Reviewing Policy

Thank you for your interest in ReadingDivas’ Blog. The following is my review policy; if you are still interested in sending me your book after reading this please complete the form at the end of this post.

I am accepting books for review; however understand that I am not a book critic. I read for fun, for entertainment and because I just love reading. I read about 1 to 2 books per week. Unfortunately, blogging and writing book reviews isn’t my full-time job, therefore it may take me more than a week sometimes to finish a book. Also understand I read on a budget, I urge authors to give me a free copy of the book being submitted for review.

My reviews are based on a few things: story, characters development, writing style and book/novel (series) if applicable. I am respectful of the author’s time, writing style and work. I also value my time and effort if a book doesn’t grab me or inspire me to keep reading I will add the book to a read later list (“RLL”). I do not post blog reviews of any books in my “RLL”.

If I decide to add your book to my “RLL”, I will contact “you” the author and state my reasons. When I write a review I keep my personal prejudices aside, I understand the difference between ‘nasty’ and ‘negative’.

I may also write posts about books I am “currently reading”, if the book has me excited about a character or situation I will certainly put it out there for the world to see. These burst of excitement are usually sent via twitter @ReadingDiva3.

My rating consists of:
3 hearts (♥ ♥ ♥) Good
4 hearts (♥ ♥ ♥ ♥) Very Good
5 hearts (♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ) Excellent

I do not give ratings of less than 3 hearts (♥ ♥ ♥). Any reviews with less than 3 hearts will be sent directly to the author via email/private message.

Reviews are displayed on the main page, ensuring maximum exposure for all who drop by on the site. They will be available on the site forever, and can easily be found on the archives, each review having its own link.

I am not accepting books for review at the moment. Once I am ready to accept books I will open the book submission form. Thank you.

  1. I’m excited to announce the release of my new novel, The Concubine’s Gift!

In this novel, Bernice Babbitt, a shy, sexually-inhibited but all too curious woman, discovers a long forgotten makeup case that once belonged to the most successful concubine in Hong Kong. Inside is a jar of face powder with magical qualities. Bernice begins to use it and soon she is not only seeing visions of other people’s sex lives, she’s also blurting out bedroom advice. A sexy Pandora’s Box of a tale!

I would like to send you a complimentary copy of the The Concubine’s Gift. Please email me and I will send you a gift copy of the ebook right away. I think you will enjoy it.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
